Turns out one of the biracial people who identifies with Spock is Barack Obama:

I loved Spock. Cool, logical, big-eared, and level headed, the center of Star Trek‘s optimistic, inclusive vision of humanity’s future.

Now that I think about it, it makes perfect sense: the cool, rational Obama, never visibly flustered, always a bit aloof, who strikes so many people as an alien rather than a real American. . . .
