A History of Life in 100 Fossils
By Paul D. Taylor and Aaron O'Dea. This is a terrific, semi-coffee table book, lots of real information about paleontology in an enjoyable, easy to digest format, with lovely pictures of fossils. These include old classics like Inguanadon and Ceolacanth but also obscurities like the mouse goat of Minorca. Highly recommended, and a good choice as a Christmas present for fans of paleontology aged 12 and up. From Smithsonian Books and the London Museum of Natural History, 2014.
