The Chesil Mirror
A British metal detectorist found this lovely Celtic mirror near Abbotsbury, England in 2010. It was in a grave dating to the 1st century CE. It was valued by the portable antiquities scheme at £23,000 in 2012. Last I checked, the Dorset County Museum was still trying to raise money to buy it. I love these Celtic mirrors with their swirling designs; more here.
