interesting tie-in to your earlier post concerning the apparent inability for authoritarians to admit their own mistakes.

on a related note, bob altemeyer, assoc. professor of psychology at the university of manitoba, published an illuminating treatise on authoritarian behavior.

slight correction: it appears he's a professor emeritus now. the 2006 version listed his position as associate.
