I am flying off to Austin, Texas today to give a paper at the annual meeting of the Society for Historical Archaeology. It is always exciting to go someplace I have never been, and I am looking forward to exploring Austin. Alas, I gather that the bats don't fly at this time of year, so I won't get to experience that little wonder. But I am sure there are other things to do.

Off to Austin
I am flying off to Austin, Texas today to give a paper at the annual meeting of the Society for Historical Archaeology.
