The Library Hawk
This Cooper's Hawk has taken up residence inside the main reading room of the Library of Congress; you can follow its adventures at the LOC blog. So far, attempts to trap it have failed, since it ignored snares set with live bait and stole the frozen quail that it did find interesting. A net has been stretched across the bottom of the dome to keep the hawk from unfortunate encounters with reading room patrons.
