A Proposal for the Potomac River, 1945

Here's something that might interest people living in my part of the world, a map from 1945 showing all the different proposals under consideration to build dams on the Potomac River and its tributaries. I don't think anyone envisaged building all of these, but each one of these dams was a real proposal with people behind it.

I have looked into the one that would have been at Chain Bridge in Washington, submerging Great Falls, and it was being actively pushed by important Congressmen and the like.
