Andy Goldsworthy is my favorite contemporary artist. I think his outdoor creations combine great beauty with a boy's love of having fun in the woods. The things he installs in galleries don't impress me nearly as much; when he works in a confined space for big money he seems to lose the spontaneity that defines the things he assembles in the woods or on the beach. He has a partial digital catalog online here, not great pictures but they do give you a taste of his creations.
