Which candidate has gotten the most money from active duty military this election cycle? Ron Paul, the anti-imperialist who says things like "Far from defeating the enemy, our current polices provide incentive for more people to take up arms against us." He has gotten ten times as much as the closest competitor, Mitt Romney.
The total amount Paul has received from military donors is not that large, only $115,000, but his lead is a sign that among those soldiers, sailors and airmen who follow politics and care about it, there is no love for belligerent jingoism and no fear of a man who says some of our enemies hate us because of the things we have done.
