Spring and Sunshine

Yesterday was the most beautiful day of spring so far, gorgeous sunshine and the cherries still blooming.

Here's a picture I shot out the window of my car on the way to a meeting Friday. Lousy light but the you get the Washington feel, and can see one of the reasons I enjoy working in downtown DC.

After three days without rain it was dry enough to get started in the garden yesterday afternoon, so I did. The daffodils are great this year; because spring got a late start, the early and mid-season daffodils are all blooming at the same time, putting on a real show. And I just love it when I can finally get my hands into warm dirt after being shut out of the garden since Halloween.
