This morning before I started the trip home we took a little walk to Hunters Beach, near the southern tip of Mount Desert Island. It is a delightful stroll through mossy woods, past a lovely stream, down to this rocky beach, with classic Maine scenery. It was raining lightly, enough to fog the pictures but not enough to ruin the morning.

The stream which, as my sister said, is like one Thomas Kincaid would paint.

I love these cobbles, especially the ones made of pink granite.

And then it was the road home for me, hardly enough time to get used to being in Maine, but home and work were calling. I hope next time I get to stay for longer.
