Salmon in the Duwamish
This is Seattle's Duwamish River, once one of the world's most polluted waterways and still a superfund site. But thanks to the Clean Water Act and other environmental measures, it is home once again to a thriving population of pink salmon; more than 600,000 ascended the river to spawn this year.
