I’m a believer that the death penalty serves society’s interest in revenge. I think we need to kill more people.Meanwhile the count of death row prisoners exonerated by the Innocence Project is now up to 152.

A Different Sort of Prosecutor
My readers may remember the remarkable apology offered by prosecutor Marty Stroud after a man he convicted was exonerated. That experience and others, he wrote, had turned him against the death penalty. The Shreveport Times asked one of Caddo Parish's current prosecutors about Stroud's apology, and he said,
