An Ulster Torc
This gold torc, 37 inches (94 cm) long, was found a few years ago by a metal detectorist in County Fermanagh, northern Ireland. He thought it was a spring from an old car and tossed it into a bin in his garage, until he saw a picture of a twisted torc in a magazine that set him wondering. He got this out, cleaned it off, and he held in his hands a treasure of the middle Bronze Age, around 1200 BC.
