Migration in the U.S., 1930 to 1940
The Census Bureau is releasing the 1940 census, and they are leading off with some great graphs. This one shows population shifts over the decade 1930 to 1940; as you can see, there was a major emptying out of the Dust Bowl region and huge growth on the west coast and in Las Vegas and Miami.
