A fascinating
digital presentation of the Roman-era Villa Loupian in France, with 3-D reconstructions of four different periods of the house and a digital walk-through of the marvelous mosaics. The villa was the home of a wealthy Gallo-Roman aristocrat and the center of a commercial wine-growing operation.
Reconstruction, ca. AD 180.
Plan of the mosaics, used for navigation.
And some screen captures of the mosaic tour.
