Rand Paul Responds to Obama's Syria Speech

Just about any bad outcome you can imagine is made more likely by US involvement in the Syrian civil war. . . . I will not vote to send my son, your son, or anyone’s daughter, to war, unless a compelling American interest is present. I’m not convinced that we have a compelling interest in the Syrian civil war.

--Rand Paul
Does this man have a chance of winning the Republican nomination for President? If so, I will face a dilemma.

UPDATE: An amusing line from Daniel Larison:
Just 21% of Republicans support military action against another country, which has to be a record low during the last twenty years.
So maybe Paul does have a chance. But the neocons and other Serious People won't accept that without a fight.
