Murder Rate Still Falling

If this graph from Rick Nevins turns out to be right, we will have the lowest homicide rate in a century this year. Incidentally, I think the numbers from before 1920 are not reliable, and some sociologists think the 19th-century homicide rate was higher than this. So when it comes to crime, these are the best of times.
