White Horse Hill: Bronze Age Dartmoor

Excavations of a cist burial at White Horse Hill on Dartmoor, England, have produced a wonderful assortment of Bronze Age artifacts. Above, ear studs or librets.

Beads, including one of amber.

Because the burial chamber was swallowed by a peat bog, much organic material was preserved, including an animal pelt and a woven mesh bag, which seem to be mashed together in this photo.
