Constructed in the mid twelfth century to serve the monks of La Chaise-Dieu, later becoming a parish church. A mostly forgotten Romanesque gem in the Auvergne.
I love this inlaid stonework.
The choir.
The church has an amazing set of capitals carved with scenes from the life of Christ; lots of pictures here.
The church is the home of this Romanesque statue, known as Notre-Dame du Mont Cornadore.
