Watching Cities Grow from Space

Now that we have 40 years of Landsat images covering most of the earth, people are putting together slide shows and videos that show how the earth has changed over that time. Most spectacular are the images of rapidly growing cities. Above, Las Vegas in 1984; below, in 2011.
