At the Guatemalan site of Xultún, archaeologists have recently discovered wall paintings that depict calendrical calculations, several hundred years older than the oldest we had before.
The paintings date to around 850 CE. The building seems to be an ordinary house, which would make these the first wall paintings found in an house.
