Still Not Winning in Afghanistan
According to the latest quarterly report from the UN, violence is up 51% this spring compared to last, because of what Spencer Ackerman calls " a hurricane of insurgent suicide attacks, assassinations and bombs, undermining U.S. military claims that it’s breaking the momentum of the Taliban." Killings of civilians are up 20%.
