I just discovered this wonderful blog devoted to illustrations from books of the 16th to 18th centuries, many with links to online copies. The picture is from Das Sächsische Stammbuch (The Saxon Pedigree Book) of 1546, with illustrations by Lucas Cranach the Elder.
