The just announced winning design for the new US embassy in London, by KieranTimberlake, a small Philadelphia firm. It looks like a cross between a standard glass office cube and the keep of a medieval castle. It only departs from the most bland corporate architecture in ways that make it more sinister (like, it has a moat). Given what I am sure were very stringent security requirements, maybe this is the best we can do. But, really, what a bore.
