RIP Ennio Morricone

Morricone wrote the score for The Mission, one of my favorite pieces of music. This fourteen-minute compendium gives a good sample.

I like Gabriel's oboe, which is from the Mission, I believe. I also like the theme song from Once Upon a Time in the West. I particularly like the way Patricia Janeckova sang it as a 14-year-old. That's a beauty pageant (Czech Republic), and no, she's not a contestant, she's a performer. She could sing this as a 12-year-old.
