After weeks of nasty weather -- cold, sleet, freezing rain, never enough snow for sledding -- we finally had a nice day yesterday, up to 50 degrees. So Ben, Clara and I set off on a walk.
Still ice in the streams. They enjoyed "skipping" rocks across the ice where the stream was frozen solid.
Ben was very impressed by the ice at this seep in the cliff face.
And there must be ice cream. Children's love of repeated rituals says, I think, something important about our species.
A face Ben is making more and more as he enters adolescence. It seems to be genetic, since his older sister used to make the same face on a regular basis.
Not really sure what this was about.
