The Mysterious Dark Perfected Man

In some versions of Taoism, there is a race of heavenly beings who inhabit the Plough (the Big Dipper), feeding on starlight. Prayers are directed to them, in hopes of inducing them to come down to earth and amuse themselves in our affairs.

The names of some of the beings are: The Wealth Spirit of the Five Directions and the Five Roads, Grand General Dog Head, the Star Lord of the Plough, King of Medicine, and The Mysterious Dark Perfected Man.

Now that is a title worth having. Maybe I'll change the name of my blog. . . .
