To start Easter Week, a barrage of wet snow, burying the early flowers and coating the trees. At my house it was a perfect fairyland, all the trees coated in white. But it was dark as I left the house, and by the time the lights came I was in Washington, where there was much less magic. Still, there were nice things to look at.
Since I had a camera along, I tried once again to get a picture of the great blue heron rookery on the Anacostia, with the sad result below. But at least you can see there are big nests in those trees.
