At the fortress of Artezian in the Crimea, Ukrainian archaeologists have discovered two treasures that they believe were buried when the Romans attacked the town in 45 CE. Sadly for the owners, the Romans took the town and slaughtered most of the inhabitants, which explains why the treasure was never recovered. At least the Romans didn't get it.
