Working this morning at a site in the yard of a 1970s house in Delaware. Most of it is actually in a paddock that held horses until yesterday, hence the fences. The site includes both a prehistoric camp -- there's a little stream in those trees in the back -- and a historic farm that may go back to 1739. So far, though, we're mostly finding stuff from the 1800s.

Wes, from my crew, digging carefully into a feature that looked good on top but turned out to be a groundhog burrow.

View of the site from an impressive goldenrod thicket.

And some more flowers.
