Look closely at these pictures and you can see the ends of the stems where some deer ate all the buds off my phlox and one of my daylilies. I spray regularly with DeerOff (active ingredient: putrescent egg solids) and that has worked pretty well, but perhaps some of my deer have come to regard it as a piquant spice, like hot sauce.
