This photograph of the vegetation on a mountain in Brazil focuses on Drosera magnifica, a new species of carnivorous sundew that can grow up to 5 feet (1.5 m ) tall. But I'm just amazed by the vibrancy of life in this image.

My inner pedant is grumping over the use of "new species" rather than "newly described species"... but on the other hand hooray for science!
