Early Medieval Jewelry from the Walters

The Walters Museum has a lot of wonderful images online now. I put together this collection of early medieval and late antique jewelry in just a few minutes. Above, a belt buckle dating to around 500 AD, found in Hungary.

Two views of a bracelet probably made by a Hunnish craftsman in the fifth century.

A Lombard earring of the 7th century.

A Frankish buckle of the 7th century.

A bow fibula from the Rhineland, dating to around AD 600
