A Field of Wildflowers

I spent the day in a pasture in western Maryland, looking for a frontier settlement dating to the 1740s. I feel fairly confident that we found the site, and even if we haven't, it was a great day. It wasn't too hot, we had clouds for much of the afternoon, and the field was full of flowers. Nothing spectacular, mainly daisies, but amazing in the sheer profusion and variety of flowers around us.
