Happy Summer
Yesterday was the solstice, the longest day of the year. It always catches me by surprise that this comes so early in the summer, and sometimes it makes me sad. Years when it is 98 degrees on solstice day (37 C), like yesterday, I tend to get happy that summer will eventually end. The picture shows the view of midsummer sunrise from inside the great mound at Newgrange, Ireland.

I don't think it's necessary to have visited that mound (which I have done, almost thirty years back now) to feel a tingle on one's neck, looking at that photo.
