Daffodils at the Peirce Mill in Rock Creek Park, near where I spent my day. The mill was built in 1828 on the site of an earlier mill dating to the 1740s.
This is the Peirce Barn. The building in the background is the Czech Embassy, and rumor has it that during the Cold War there was a CIA listening post in the loft of the barn, with electronic gear trained at the embassy.
