Annie French (1872-1965) was another one of the remarkable women who attended the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland during its heyday in the late 1800s. Love these illustrations.
I see you appreciate the Victorian/Georgian era like I do. In her kind of work, mainly ceramic decals, Annie French was a genius, the best of the Glasgow Girls as the pre-Raphaelites of Glasgow were known. The National Museum of Scotland is the place to go for her. Thank you, after John Sargent, contemporany Annie French comes as a precious follower.
