The Striding Horned Figure

This proto-Elamite statuette from southwest Iran dates to about 3000-2800 BC. It is known as the Striding Horned Figure. Because of the weird clothes and the dead eagle draped over its back, people think it "may represent a supernatural intermediary between the earthly and spiritual worlds." Or it could be a human intermediary, that is, a shaman.
