Congress Funds the Europa Mission

Among the details that has leaked out from the new budget deal is that NASA's funding has been increased by $1 billion, including $175 million for the mission to study Europa's subsurface ocean. (See here and here.)

    For the cost of 125 cruise missiles, we can study the subsurface ocean of a moon 390 millions miles away.

    Where might science have already ventured by now if not for our insane military budgeting?
