They Were Vikings
I wrote last summer about a medieval mass grave unearthed in England, dating to around 950 AD. One of the theories was the 51 beheaded skeletons represented a band of Vikings caught and wiped out by Anglo-Saxon warriors. That theory has now been supported by elemental analysis of the bones, which suggests the men grew up in Scandinavia.
