Indeed it a small band of a few hundred hard cases who are doing the riotous violence in Portland, and from what I read the citizens are getting fed up and pushing the city government to round them up.
They may call themselves anarchists but it's angry, destructive people like them who make abolishing the police impossible.
I wonder if forcing people who like history to stop studying it would be considered "legitimate coercion" in Chomsky's system.
