The Leekfrith Torcs

Another amazing find from British metal detectorists. This hoard of Iron Age torcs was dug up in December in a field near Leekfrith in Staffordshire. Experts date them to around 400 to 250 BCE. These would probably have been worn by Celtic noblewomen of the kind we read about in Irish and Welsh sagas. More at The History Blog.
