These photographs were taken by an American photographer Branson DeCou between 1932 and 1935. The photos were originally taken in black and white and Decou then added color with aniline ink. DeCou's catalog of photos is now stored at the University of California, Santa Cruz and many are now online. Carpenter at work, Adare, Co. Limerick.
