Lidar Uncovers a Lost Roman Road in England

The road runs in between the two dashed red lines; you can tell it's Roman because it is so straight. This road ran from Ribchester to Lancaster.

    I was curious about what sort of terrain this buried road ran through, so I used Google Street view to get a view of the area within seconds. (A lovely, tiny little rural village). What an incredible time to be alive.
