Department of Celebrity Irony

This week British pop star Adele is on the cover of four magazines at my supermarket checkout. On one of them the headline is, ADELE: CHOOSING FAMILY OVER FAME.

  1. Who do they have working for them that absolutely no one involved bothered to think the headline through? How can you make an entire career out of choosing words and arranging them on a page and then miss something like that?

  2. Apparently the backstory there is that she took several years away from her career for her kids. That's why this is her first release in those several years.

    I have no idea what she sounds like; I know *nothing* about pop music. But the story has been everywhere in my Facebook feed.
