Bonhams is auctioning off "selected items" from le Chateau de Villers-Helon, in Picardy, northern France. They call this "the property of a French dynasty," but I suppose the dynasty must have fallen on hard times. A few items:
Bed, late 19th century.
Rouen faience platter, early 18th century.
Table, Italian, 19th century.
The Seine at Paris by Armand Guillaumin, 1874. I would love to know more about the story behind this sale.
