Arquipélago – Contemporary Arts Center by Menos é Mais and João Mendes Ribeiro

This project by a whole crew of Portuguese architects turned an old stone industrial building in Ribeira Grande into the Arquipélago – Contemporary Arts Center.

The new part of the building is a concrete block that doesn't do much for me.

But it is true to the spirit of the original, and some of the interface seems very well done.

So, on the whole pretty interesting.
