In the Woods

Pictures of the woods around the site I'm working on in Virginia. Pretty exciting, no? Nary an animal or bird to be seen.

But I did find this bird's nest, fallen from high up in the canopy, which I should have photographed with a background that didn't look exactly like it.

Stone flakes (quartz and quartzite) on the surface of a tree throw, proof that we are digging in the right place.
