Friday was our last day at Great Falls for this year. It was a beautiful day. That's me with Mather Gorge behind.
Mike and Charles from my crew shovel testing beside an old road.
View of the same road from farther down, where it is more deeply eroded. You can tell that this road dates to before motorized vehicles because it lacks the center hump you always get with roads used by cars and trucks.
I contemplate a ceramic chicken from a 1930s trash dump, and look forward to next year.
